Why asbestos consulting?

Asbestos can be present in buildings everywhere. As a result, asbestos fibres can become airborne or be present in soil, potentially causing harm to people who live or work near it. To determine whether asbestos exists on your site, we offer a range of services as part of asbestos consulting, to help you manage the risk.

Asbestos consulting survey

An Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) or hazardous materials survey or audit is the first step to help you identify asbestos (and hazardous materials including lead paint and synthetic mineral fibres).

Asbestos sampling and identification

We can perform testing on building materials and soils as part of asbestos consulting to help determine whether asbestos is present. We do this via sampling ACM that are suspected to contain asbestos, which we then send to the NATA-accredited laboratory for testing. Results are then issued with a NATA accredited certificate of analysis.

Asbestos air monitoring

There are two types of asbestos air monitoring, including:

  1. Control monitoring – background, control and clearance when asbestos materials are present or are/have been removed
  2. Exposure monitoring – occupational exposure to workers

Asbestos consulting clearance inspections

After we’ve completed inspection of the soil or asbestos removal works, a clearance certificate reports that asbestos-containing materials have been removed and there’s no visual evidence of asbestos.
